Generations Homework Club (GHC) is a free after-school homework support group which serves children in need in grades 4-7. The children travel either to the Cambie Secondary School or Hugh Boyd Secondary School to meet with their tutors twice a week.
The children can choose the homework club location near their schools. Currently, GHC is hosted at the Cambie Secondary School and Hugh Boyd Secondary School starting the week of Oct 18, 2010.

The followings are some quick facts about Generations Homework Club:
- GHC is a free homework support group sponsored by different funders;
- Students in GHC will meet up with their tutors from 3:30pm to 5:00pm and spend approximately 50 minutes to an hour on their school works;
- The tutors are high school and university students as well as volunteers who have been recruited from the community.
- The tutors will be in one to two ratio working with the students on their homework;
- Each GHC session will have team building activities which enrich the students’ confidence, teamwork, leadership, social skill, communication skill, and physical competence;
- Light snacks and drinks will be provided in the session;

Richmond Youth Service Agency is looking for self-motivated, energetic and reliable volunteers to help out the Generations Homework Club for the school year 2010-2011 at East Richmond and West Richmond area. Tutoring session times are on Mondays and Tuesdays in East Richmond and Wednesdays and Thursdays in West Richmond from 3:30 - 5:00pm. Volunteer can pick the day of week you would like to volunteer in. Training and volunteer validation letters will be provided.
