Why have a Career Plan?
Whether you are unsure of what career path to choose or you want to change careers, Connections Youth Resource Centre can help. We can help you explore careers and education programs suited to your personality, interests, values, skills and labour market trends. We want to help you find work you love!
Career Exploration Program Eligibility
If you are under 30 years old, unemployed or underemployed (working less than 20 hours a week), no longer in school and eligible to work in Canada, visit a Case Manager at Connections Youth Resource Centre and he/she will be able to refer you to a FREE Career Exploration program. A Case Manager can also help you explore further career planning options. Please phone (604) 271-7600 to book an appointment.
At Connections Youth Resource Centre, you can access different career planning resources including:
TypeFocus Careers: an online test designed to help you discover yourself better so you can make a better career choice. The three answers you will discover after finishing the questionnaires are:
- Who am I?
- Where am I going?
- How will I get there?
The questionnaires will take an hour to complete. If you do not finish in one session, your progress will be saved, and you may log back into TypeFocus Careers at another time to complete your session.
