Here are a few of our clients that got a job though the Connections Youth Resource Centre!
RS – Processing Plant Operator
RS is a lawyer from Indian and needed a survival job. RS has been humble and showed up for all of his meetings at our office.
RS was able to network, do informational interviews and work continuously on his goal to find himself his first job in Canada. After his first week on the job his employer told RS that although it was agreed that he (the employer) would pay RS $8 per hour he decided to pay him $10 per hour due to RS's hard work. RS hopes to become a Notary Public in the future.
DK – President Consultant
DK visited our office everyday for approximately one month for assistance with his job search. DK attended the workshops, mock interviews and networking classes that we recommended to him. DK became a volunteer with RYSA and was able to build his confidence while being at RYSA. After several interviews and resume reviews DK was hired by an online company as a President Consultant.
RC – CSR Banking
RC is a bright, self-motivated and confident young man who was never late for his meetings at our office, which is always a great sign that a client is being serious about his career. RC positive attitude about his job search, networking and inquiring about other opportunities other than CSR within the banking industry made it less stressful for RC to find an entry level position. RC was able to find a full-time job at a banking industry as a CSR.
TL – PNE & Camp Counselor
TL has been very active and focused on his job search and meetings at RYSA. TL was able to find part-time work during a difficult time in his life. TL is employed with the PNE one day a week and as a mobile beverage server in Burnaby and this position ends in October 2010. His other part-time job is with a Special Needs camp during the summer. TL is being paid while training for the camp. TL will be working at the camp for 2 weeks in July and another 2 weeks in August 2010. TL's eyes light up when he speaks about his passion for working with youth and special needs persons.
